From the Inside Cover of Max Lucado's Book: In the Eye of the Storm: One Day in the Life of Jesus
Call it tapestry of turmoil: a noisy pictorial in which the golden threads of triumph knot against the black,
frazzled strings of tragedy.
Call it a symphony of emotions: a sunrise-to-sunset orchestration of extremes. One score is brassy with exuberance-- the next
moans with sorrow. On one page the orchestra swells in adoration. On the next Jesus solos the aria of loneliness.
Whatever you call it -- call it real. Call it a day in which Jesus
experienced more stress than any other day of this life aside from his crucifixion.
Before the morning becomes evening he has reason to weep, then run,
then shout, then curse, then praise, then doubt...
If you know what it means to be caught in life's storms ... if you've ever ridden the roller coaster of sorrow and celebration ... if you've
ever wondered if God in heaven can relate to you on earth, then read and re-read this preassure-packed day in the life of Christ.
It is the only day, aside from the crucifixtion, that all four Gospels recorded.
It's as if God knew the stress you would face. Speaking through Matthew, Mark, Luke and John he shows you how to face it.

EPISCOPAL CHURCH WOMEN (ECW)
Episcopal Church Women's Prayer
Almighty God, we pray that You will bless our work in mission and ministry in the world. Make us so thankful for the power of Your love, given
through Your Son, Jesus, that we may pray, labor and give liberally to make known that love throughout the world. Bless us that our lives may
shine forth the joy and wonder we share in your name. Amen.
Every woman who is a member of Prince of Peace
is a member of ECW. Its goal is to provide a loving, Christian environment for joining together
in mutual support and spiritual growth. The focus is on worship, fellowship, and education.
The ECW Study Group meets every 1st and 3rd Sunday each month from
11:30am to 1:00pm. We a gather in prayer and together we read and study a book. We have decided to read another book
from our favorite author Max Lucado,In the Eye of the Storm: A Day in the Life of Jesus.
You may read an excerpt from the book on the left bar of this page.
Each chapter covers a different topic and stands on its own. So, please don't hesitate to join us even if you have missed some meetings.
Used Books are available for purchase. Bring your Bible! Bring your lunch! Be ready to laugh, learn and grow.
