Ordination of George L. Packer III— Be sure to SAVE THE DATE for our big event at Prince of Peace on Saturday, July 29 at 10am. Bishop Diane Bruce Jardine will be here to ordain our own George Packer as a Deacon in the Episcopal Church! A luncheon reception will follow in the Family Center. George’s Wednesday Small Group is coordinating the luncheon following the ordination, but we would love to have you contribute a special dessert to this festive occasion. Please let Inez Wathen know what you will bring. We hope our entire parish will gather to celebrate this special day! The Prince of Peace Men's Choir— will provide music for George Packer's Ordination on Saturday, July 29 at 10:30am. Rehearsals will be held Tuesday evenings at 7pm in the Family Center on July 18 and July 25. All men are welcomed and encouraged to participate. Boude Moore.
Women's Choir— Ladies, mark your calendars! The Women's Choir will sing at the 10am service on Sunday morning, August 27. Only two rehearsals: Tuesday, August 22 at 7pm and Sunday, August 27 at 9am. Contact Boude for more information.
Exceptional Families Worship Services— The next worship service will be Saturday, September 16 at 5pm. Everyone is welcome, especially special needs individuals and their family members, for a worship service with contemporary music and sharing. Prayer Shawl Ministry— The Prayer Shawl / Blanket is an outward and visible sign of God’s love, grace and presence in our lives. The next workshop will be Saturday, August 26 at 10am in the Chapel, and is open to all knitters as well as those who would like to learn! Please contact Kathryn Reasoner for more information.

VBS Leaders Meeting— Thank you for wanting to share your love of Christ with our children. We will be having our VBS Leaders Meeting on Sunday, July 9 (the day before VBS begins) at 9am in Taylor Hall. Guitar Class— is now offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 to 8:00pm in the Chapel. Marc Miller is teaching group guitar lessons for youth and adults. Bring your own guitar or just come at 7:30pm to sing along to praise and worship songs. Contact Marc for more information.

The Community Dinner— continues on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. For more information or to volunteer, please contact Jennifer Frost . The next dinner will be served on Saturday, July 8 at 5pm.
The Community Dinner— is proud to offer our homeless and needy guests access to showers during our twice-monthly free, hot meal. We regularly have 25-30 guests who are grateful to use it! To keep things safe and orderly, our shower needs to be monitored by a team of volunteers. If you can join us for this crucial part of our ministry, please contact Jennifer Frost to volunteer!
The Community Dinner— is collecting hygiene supplies (toothpaste, shampoo, razors, etc.) to be distributed to our needy guests. Please leave your donations in the box in the narthex and thank you for supporting one of Prince of Peace’s most vibrant ministries!
Tuna / Peanut Butter Sunday— Every first Sunday of the month is Tuna/Peanut Butter Sunday! Put an extra container or two of tuna or peanut butter in your shopping cart for the Food Pantry and drop it off in the narthex on Sunday, July 2. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Pantry Volunteers Needed — to work in the pantry in a public facing role. Volunteers work a standard three hour shift (assisting existing clients, registering new clients, filling food orders and providing information regarding available services and programs), and may work multiple shifts based on availability and desire to serve. Please complete the Volunteer Application found on the West Valley Food Pantry Website: www.westvalleyfoodpantry.org under “Volunteer” then select “Volunteer Form.
